STIHL develops and produces professional power tools for forest, landscape and garden as the world market leader.  The two largest locations in Waiblingen are still the headquarters of the company - this is where company management, research and development as well as essential production facilities are located.

The aim of this master plan is to make the locations fit for future requirements in the medium and long term. Using a specially developed master plan method, robust concepts are developed which flexibly consider the changing processes and working methods in the age of industry 4.0, as well as the necessary capacity increases. Aspects of sustainability play a strengthened role.
