It is only the construction of the Convention Hotel opened on July 8, 2016 and managed by Radisson Blu that turns the Kigali Convention Complex into a holistic facility, enabling high-class, international large-scale events. The curvaceous exterior form is inferred from the bordering roundabout with its striking fountain in the center. The three wings form a protective courtyard, which opens up to a six-floor entrance hall, the bar, a restaurant and the wellness area. This turns the hotel into a haven of tranquility among the hectic daily churn of the capital city.

Toward the outdoors, the colorful metal lamellae keep the heat out and in the inner courtyard, the surrounding troughs provide extensive green areas. The nearly 300 rooms and suites are all naturally lit.
